Our Plan to Defend the 7 Hummocks of Lowcountry Culture
DiversCity Charleston is building a flat, collaborative network between strong existing community organizations and leaders. Each "hummock" will be protected by a small working group and a larger response group representing churches, non profits, educational institutions and local progressive leaders. Even conservatives have been included because while we have disagreements between us, we have long agreed on how we should disagree. The atmosphere of chaos unleased by Moms for Liberty and Unity City has been incredibly wasteful, burning up thousands of hours of community volunteer time at the school boards. This chaos won't spread to our town and city governments, community institutions and neighborhoods. Read our detailed plan and the schedule to July 14

- June 20- Demonstration Planned at the Home of School Board Member Ed Kelly. Lowcountry Up is Good, PAC, Inc. is planning a demonstration protest in front of the home of Ed Kelly, the school board member most responsible for the Moms for Liberty sponsored chaos destroying our public school system. He's been skipping coming to meetings in person and zooming in from what is apparently his home. Read the full press release. These meetings run for hours and a train wreck of a meeting is set for Mon. June 24. See school board agenda. If we have to sit through hours of meetings with unprepared Moms for Liberty Board members who may not have read the Agenda Ed helps produce, then Ed ought to be there to. We've had meetings where four of the five M4L Board members have zoomed in with only the Chairperson present in the room.
